SATURDAY, MAY 2, 2009 APTOS CAMPUS

Cabrillo College’s 3rd Annual Social Justice Conference will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 from 9:00 to 3:30 and will include a key-note speaker, break-out sessions, and a community fair. Ths Santa Cruz Chapter of the ACLU will be participating with a table in the community fair.

Cabrillo College students, faculty, staff and administrators will present research and creative projects concerning social justice issues, while community-based organizations will distribute information about their work toward social justice during the lunchtime community fair.

Brian Copeland will present the keynote address for this year's conference.

A "Children's Faire" will provide child-centered activities with social justice themes during both break-out sessions. All ages welcome, but a parent or legal guardian must be present.

Free and open to the public. A light lunch will be served, also at no cost.
