We're in the early stages of planning for our Annual Santa Cruz Chapter Meeting this fall. We intend to make the "business meeting" short (report on the past year's activities, plans for the next, elect a new board and such) and spend most of the time learning about the innovative juvenile detention system in Santa Cruz County.


Prison Awareness Week, at UCSC

Arranged by the Inside Out Writing Project of the UCSC Women's Center, the week will include events throughout the week designed to inform people of issues related to the fast growing prison system in America.

Prison Industrial Complex Awareness Week

The Inside Out Writing Project has set up a weeklong event entitled Prison Industrial Complex Awareness Week. ACLU-Santa Cruz Chapter has signed on as a sponsor of this event. Throughout the week of May 19th through May 24th events will take place on the UCSC campus with the following goals in mind:
